      There is not much anaysis of the camera yet but this is a fair overview of features. The camera will work best at 1.4 metres up. (d>1.4m).

    • quinnmcguee:

      What’s the compression for the video? This is a prosumer camera, correct? This does not shoot 1080p video, does it?

    • ponto:

      @Claptonians Yep – I could use some instructions for getting W3 videos to Youtube, too.

    • nascar51523fan:

      @BritishLondonAccent hater

    • nascar51523fan:

      how the hell does the 3d work without glasses?

    • Claptonians:

      PS thanks

    • Claptonians:

      hey Fuji Guys – I got the w3 and despite sweting on it for days I can’t upload a devent 3d on youtube – plus what you call HD is not very satisfactory. Can you help with a step by step explanation how you upload a FULL SCREEN 3d video on youtube – the plug in ‘youtube’ on your software us definitely not working
      -)

      @fujiguys I didn’t mean to offend you if I did, I just haven’t r e a l l y seen many new products in stores… But I really do like this one! ^^^^^^^^^^^

    • fujiguys:

      @cory8u not yet thanks to the many innovations we put into digital imaging as well as other fields (Medical, Xerox, etc..)

    • fujiguys:

      @BritishLondonAccent It may be better for you to see this camera in person. I think you might be very impress vs our old W1 3D camera. I will say it is night and day for the 3D effect. Camera size is due to 2 lens which are also position similar to the distance of your eyes.

    • cory8u:

      I thought FUJIFILM was dead… oh..

    • BritishLondonAccent:

      Im not a fan, I found the humongous camera and fat digitial frame very unimpressive. Its very gimmicky. This technology has a very long way to go to go mainstream. Pluses: pioneering. Negatives: VERY expensive and not quite there yet technology. Lets revisit this in 5yrs time and see how far we have come.

    • chrisfam7788:

      hey when will Fujifilm released a successor for S5 Pro? Been waiting for so long :)

    • IIIIN3ROOIIII:

      Sounds nice. I also hope it works as good as it sounds!

    • EcoDimension:

      nice shot block! 1:34

    • Raganeau:

      Yay, I like this one :) Sure there’s a lot left out, but that’s not a problem. What we do get is a concise presentation of the options available and issues to consider in selecting hardware in the nascent Internet-TV confluence. Thanks for putting this together!

      Your MOMS in 1080p.

    • TehUberCyberBeast:

      @herenthere HELLO, THERE.

    • herenthere:

      @TehUberCyberBeast old stuff = good quality

    • GmasterRED:

      You are subscribed to iJustine, anything you say about technology is invalid.

    • TehUberCyberBeast:

      @herenthere I have a 20-inch flat screen CRT Sony Trinitron, as well. I use it for my retro games consoles with an RGB SCART cable. There’s no better TV for retro games consoles, in my opinion.

    • TehUberCyberBeast:

      The number one thing that you should look out for when purchasing a new television: The most expensive Sony. Just as it’s always been.

    • ASPerlman:

      I love J&R, I also liked the transitions between clips.

    • TheNotDone:

      contrast ratios are too difficult to compare.. the testing parameters of the companies that determine the ratio vary wildly.

    • flobber238:

      @aveslp yeah in fact SD tv programmes seem to look pixelated on full HD tvs. Though, Im pretty sure most ps3/xbox games work at 1080p. I hope so anyway…

    • BRGxRandomHero:

      i wish you were in 1080p

    • aveslp:

      @PawlOwl Hey mate.

    • aveslp:

      1080p vs. 720p adds several hundred dollars onto the price of a tv, and the only time you really use it is when you watch blu rays (which, as of now, are almost all mastered very poorly and don’t benefit from it.) Naturally, a salesman would say 1080p is the highest requirement, but if you can’t afford it, you’re not missing out on much. TV channels and 95% of video games max out at 720p.

    • herenthere:

      @flobber238 i have a 20″ or something CRT Trinitron! And it still works after nearly 20 years!

    • KidChaos878:

      Plasma TVs are bad for children’s eyes. Kids tend to sit very near TVs while watching it and the extra brightness doesn’t help. I’m sticking to my LCD TV.

    • derekcolman:

      @elspethjane . See your optician. LOL

    • jason24568:

      @flobber238 CRTs are too old and too bulky.

    • jason24568:

      I’ll gonna buy a new TV soon.

    • Clintus:

      thanks for the info. I need a new tv soon.
