In this video we examination 3 Samsung products as well as go in to item about my hapless distress with them. At 29:26 we denote a visit complaint I’m carrying with HW-560S. The complaint is which it loses a HDMI signal.

I have a Sumsung plasma & I’ve always been shit scared of updating the firmware for that very reason lol so I’ve never done it & I’ve had the TV for over a year now. I just think of it like updating your computers BIOS… unless there’s a problem just leave it.
Im still hoping 3d will die, I really dont want to shell out for a 3d tv. And the glasses look stupid and are really expensive.
so what do you recommend going plasma or led?

My GF feels the exact opposite. She loves Samsung and thinks they have the best products around. Course I don’t really know enough to judge but from the little bit I’ve watched and seen hers in action it looks very good especially the 3D. Sounds like you got a hold of some bad products. wow jesus yes i have the dimming effect also, when credits for a movie come up and theres an all balck back ground the credits will dim also. I think the average tv person doesnt even notice this stuff. Man if you turn your bacl light down and reduce the sharpness and go into the extra options menu and make black levels the darkest it helps alot. Do you have any back light bleed in the corners of your tv? By the way i have a samsung 40 inch led. Glad somone else is noticing this stuff too.
that flashing you speak of happens alot with my led samsung, its when theres a bright scene with a dark area in the shot, the dark area will flash like lightning. I also had a sony lcd a year ago and that thing had tons of probloms with odd back light bleed. I can point out flaws in every flat panel tv, they are all flawed. But when you have a bright scene on blu-ray thats when they look best. MINE LEANS BACK TOO! Man I think me and you have the same bad luck haha.
cheers Eric i have been luck as i am a huge fan of Samsung and have never had any issues knock on wood lol but they have been god to me over the years but LED technology is very new so there will be bugs in it but the 2nd and the 3rd generation are out and they seem to have a awesome performance record thus far not to mention most people dont know but Sony contract Samsung to make their hardware so when you by a Sony TV in all actuality it is a Samsung technically lol receivers go onkyo cheers
i have a samsung 40 inch lcd … its weird because i thought lcd tv’s didnt suffer from the “image burn” and yet mine got an image burn it slowly went away but it was there for a good week or so…

Sorry to hear about your TV troubles. I’d always thought Samsung made quality products, but I guess the 3D technology is still in it’s infancy. I have a Sony Bravia LCD, and there’s a slight “clouding” issue, where sometimes you’ll notice a white cloud effect in some areas. It used to really annoy me, but it’s barely noticeable, especially when the images take up the whole screen. Great video reviews. Always enjoy your stuff. =-)
i had a 50in RCA dlp, and had nothng but problems with it, it was worked on 4 times, and finally replaced, I had a warrenty from best buy, so I picked out a 50in sony sxrd , which has been fine, except for a bulb replacement which is normal,,, and no problems with my PS3 80 gig.
